Análisis de la gestión del proceso administrativo en la implementación del Programa de Diplomado de Bachillerato Internacional (PDBI) y su incidencia en el proceso educativo de las personas estudiantes de ciclo diversificado del Instituto de Educación Dr. Clodomiro Picado Twight del circuito 02 de la dirección regional de educación de Turrialba

La presente investigación trata sobre el análisis de las estrategias utilizadas desde la gestión del proceso administrativo en la implementación del Programa de Diplomado de Bachillerato Internacional (PDBI) y su incidencia en el proceso educativo de las personas estudiantes de ciclo diversificado. Dicha investigación se realiza en el Instituto de Educación Dr. Clodomiro Picado Twight el cual pertenece al circuito 02 de la Dirección Regional de Educación de Turrialba.
Para llevar a cabo esta investigación fue necesario buscar fundamento teórico sobre educación, administración la educación, gestión de la educación y las etapas del proceso administrativo. Además, fue necesario describir el PDBI para su comprensión dentro del contexto nacional e internacional.
El enfoque de la investigación es mixto, los datos se obtuvieron mediante una entrevista estructurada, guía de grupo focal y cuestionarios autoadministrados, estos fueron aplicados al director, coordinador, docentes y docentes BI, estudiantes de décimo y egresados. Los datos fueron sistematizados mediante figuras y tablas lo cual permite comparar, discutir y analizar de manera conjunta los datos. En la investigación participaron 116 personas en total, todas pertenecientes a la institución en estudio.
Hay resultados relevantes, el más importante es relacionado con el proceso administrativo. Los resultados demuestran que el proceso debe mejorar, por ejemplo, el plan anual, la organización de actividades y el conocimiento que los profesores tienen acerca del PD, mediante brochure, charlas y talleres, no sólo a los profesores del Colegio Clodomiro Picado Twight, sino también a los miembros de la Dirección Regional de Turrialba.
A partir del análisis, se presenta una propuesta de intervención. Dentro de esta guía de la se plantean tres planes de trabajo, el primero llamado feria de articulación para estudiantes de décimo año de la región de Turrialba, el segundo corresponde a charlas y talleres dirigidos al personal docente y administrativos sobre los principios del PDBI y, por último, se planea la exposición de los resultados de la investigación al personal de la institución.
This research deals with the analysis of the strategies used by the management of the administrative process in the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) and its impact on the educational process of diversified cycle students. This research is carried out at the Dr. Clodomiro Picado Twight Institute of Education, which belongs to circuit 02 of the Regional Directorate of Education of Turrialba. To carry out this research, it was necessary to search for a theoretical foundation on education, education administration, education management, and the stages of the administrative process. In addition, it was necessary to describe the PDBI to understand it within the national and international context. The research approach is mixed; data were obtained through a structured interview, a focus group guide, and self-administered questionnaires, which were applied to the principal, coordinator, teachers, IB teachers, tenth-grade students, and graduates. The data were systematized using graphs, which allowed to compare, analyze, and discuss about the data jointly. A total of 116 people participated in the research, all belonging to the institution under study. There are some relevant findings, the most important is related to the administrative process. The results have shown this process must improve, for example, the annual plan, the organization of activities and the knowledge teacher have about the PD can be improved through some training, workshops, and speeches, not only to the Clodomiro Picado Twight High School teachers and staff, but also to members of the Regional Directorate in Turrialba. Based on the analysis, an intervention proposal is presented. Within this guide, three work plans are proposed, the first one is called the articulation fair for tenth-grade students of the Turrialba region, the second one corresponds to lectures and workshops for teachers and administrative staff on the principles of the IBDP and finally, the presentation of the research results to the staff of the institution.
