La derivada en los libros de texto de 1º de bachillerato: Un análisis a las tareas propuestas

Dentro de una investigación en la que se estudia el significado que el profesorado de matemáticas atribuye al concepto de derivada, el presente artículo se enfoca en describir el significado que se manifiesta en los libros de texto mediante el análisis de las tareas que proponen. Para ello se analizan las tareas para el tema de derivadas por cinco libros de texto utilizados en España para 1º de Bachillerato. Usando un método del análisis de contenido y un sistema de categorías basado en el análisis didáctico, observamos un claro predominio de tareas algorítmicas, en las que se da más importancia a las reglas de derivación que al propio concepto y su significado.
Within a research that studies the meaning that mathematics teachers attribute to the concept of derivative, this article focuses on describing the meaning that is manifested in textbooks through the proposed tasks. To do this, the tasks for the topic of derivative of five textbooks used in Spain for the 1st year of non-compulsory secondary education (‘bachillerato’) are analysed. By using the method of content analysis and a system of categories based on didactic analysis, we observed a clear dominance of algorithmic tasks, in which more importance is given to the derivation rules than to the concept itself and its meaning.
