EVALUACIÓN DE LA RUTA NACIONAL 21, TRAMO ENTRE LOS POBLADOS DE JICARAL Y LEPANTO, PENÍNSULA DE NICOYA, COSTA RICA

Abstract

La Ruta Nacional 21, específicamente el tramo comprendido entre las poblaciones de Jicaral y Lepanto, en la Península de Nicoya, ha recibido en los últimos años una inversión muy importante, a pesar del poco tránsito que por dicho tramo circula. En cumplimiento de los mandatos de la Ley 8114, funcionarios de la Unidad de Gestión y Evaluación de la Red Vial Nacional del PITRA-LanammeUCR realizaron, a inicios de agosto del presente año, una visita al tramo para evaluar el estado actual de la ruta. Se detectaron problemas de deterioro en forma de baches en la superficie de ruedo, problemas de las estructuras de manejo de aguas, mal estado de la señalización horizontal, y guardavías utilizados de manera incorrecta. Este informe resume algunos hallazgos importantes, mostrando imágenes de lo visto en dicha gira.

National Route 21, specifically on the section between the towns of Jicaral and Lepanto, in the Nicoya Peninsula, has received in recent years a very important investment, despite of the little traffic that circulates in that section. In compliance with the mandates of Law 8114, officials of the Management and Evaluation of the National Road Network Department PITRA-LanammeUCR conducted, at early August of this year, a visit to the section for evaluating the current state of the route. Deterioration problems were identified in the form of bumps on the roadway, problems of water management structures, poor condition of horizontal road signs and trackwalkers used incorrectly. This report summarizes some important findings, showing images seen on this working tour.
