Desarrollo y evaluación de un boletín informativo del Centro Nacional de Información de Medicamentos de Costa Rica dirigido a estudiantes

Abstract

Objetivo: Desarrollar un boletín informativo del Centro Nacional de Información de Medicamentos (CIMED®) de Costa Rica con estándares que permitan su acreditación por la International Society of Drug Bulletins, contribuyendo a la mejora de la accesibilidad y actualización de información en temas de salud para los profesionales y estudiantes de salud en Costa Rica.Método: Se elaboró a partir de un diagnóstico de necesidades mediante encuestas y un análisis comparativo(benchmarking) con boletines acreditados por la International Society of Drug Bulletins. Resultados: Se diseñaron dos ediciones iniciales con temas de interés: enfermedad de Parkinson y pacientes oncológicos y publicados en el repositorio Kérwá de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Los resultados de la evaluación muestran una alta aceptación en diseño, contenido y formato.Conclusión: El boletín representa una herramienta clave para fortalecer la formación académica, la práctica clínica y la divulgación científica, consolidando al CIMED® como centro de referente en información farmacéutica y de salud.Objective: To develop a bulletin from the National Drug Information Center (CIMED®) of Costa Rica that complies with the accreditation standards of the International Society of Drug Bulletins, there by enhancing access to reliable updated health-related information for health care professionals and students in Costa Rica. Method: The bulletin was desing based on a needs assessment conducted through surveys, along with benchmarking analysis of bulletins accredited by the International Society of Drug Bulletins.Results: Two initial editions were designed on topics of interest—Parkinson’s disease and oncology patients—and published in the Kérwá repository of the University of Costa Rica. The evaluation revealed high levels acceptanceregarding design, content, and format. Conclusion: The bulletin represents a key tool for streng thening academic training, clinical practice, and scientific dissemination, consolidating CIMED® as a reference center in pharmaceutical and health information.
