El objetivo principal del presente artículo es describir la valoración que el personal investigador posee del personal periodístico, a partir de un estudio descriptivo a personal investigador de 25 centros e institutos de investigación de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Los resultados evidencian actitudes y percepciones vinculares que pueden ser mejoradas en beneficio de la progresividad del conocimiento científico y la comunicabilidad de la ciencia. En este sentido, es necesario que el personal investigador identifique las habilidades y los puntos de encuentro que renueven el vínculo entre ambas profesiones, con miras a comprender mejor el engranaje que representan los procesos de comunicación pública de la ciencia.
The primary objective of this article is to describe the assessment research personnel have of journalist personnel, based on an descriptive research made with 25 investigation centers and institutes of the University of Costa Rica. The results show that connected attitudes and perceptions can be improved in benefit of the progression of scientific knowledge and of the communicativeness of science. In this sense it’s necessary that research personnel identity the skills and meeting points that renew the ties between the two professions, with the intention of better understating the inner workings that make up the public communication of science process.
