El vals de las fuentes históricas en España y Latinoamérica: una metodología en busca de la mujer masona

Abstract

La membresía masónica femenina, de ritos inclusivos o mixtos no son mencionadas de forma explícita y de ahí la dificultad en identificar las mujeres pertenecientes a dichas órdenes. Este trabajo describe los métodos y las fuentes que posibilitan seguirles la pista. Abarcamos desde las mujeres pertenecientes a las logias artesanales tempranas anteriores a las Constituciones de Anderson hasta las organizaciones más recientes enEspaña y Latinoamérica. Incluimos el organigrama de distintos campos de estudios masónicos del Profesor Ferrer Benimeli para localizar la presencia, las actividades y las características masónicas, siendo una plantilla muy útil para la investigación de lamasonería femenina.

The female Masonic membership, of inclusive or mixed rites, are not mentioned explicitly and hence the difficulty in identifying the women belonging to said orders. This paper describes the methods and sources that make it possible to track them. We range from the women belonging to the early artisan lodges prior to the Anderson Constitutions to the most recent organizations in Spain and Latin America. We include the organization chart of different fields of Masonic studies of Professor Ferrer Benimeli to locate the Masonic presence, activities, and characteristics, which isa very useful template for the investigation of female Freemasonry.
