Abstract
This research is divided into three parts: Introduction, Theoretical Reference and Methodological Reference, which are subdivided into five chapters. The Introduction presents both the international and national background and its findings on the topics explored, demonstrating that there is no reference that covers the elements in question in their entirety. In this first part, the object of study is also justified from the epistemological, ontological, axiological and methodological field and the general and specific questions are exposed. In the second part, the contextualization is developed from a structural systemic approach and the theoretical conceptualization whose thematic axes are: Family Secrets, Family Dynamics, Family Structure, Transactional Patterns, including communication and mythology, to determine the experience of families with members deprived of liberty when the secret is revealed in their imprisonment as a contribution of the discipline of Orientation. In the third part, the methodological strategies are reflected, developing as a paradigm the naturalistic, qualitative design with a focus on systems and using the type of case study; together with this, the techniques and instruments that allow the collection of information. In the fourth chapter of the third part, the results are analyzed and interpreted and final considerations are presented in the fifth chapter, which includes conclusions and recommendations. The main findings were: greater adjustment and restructuring at the time of deprivation of liberty rather than in the disclosure of the secret; the closest and most protective bond is the mother, values and beliefs permeate the family dynamics; the father figure is one of authority; the secret is revealed by the need to improve the environment and private life, and Family Guidance is recognized as a valuable resource of accompaniment and guidance for family dynamics and links with the family system.
