Abstract
Although children with cerebral palsy do not have obvious deformities at birth, they may appear as they age. Pelvic obliquity is a frequent finding in this population, which is related to postural deformity, scoliosis, and hip dislocation. Treating pelvic obliquity improves the quality of life and the complications of children with this entity. A bibliography search was carried out in the main search online libraries for scientific literature, in order to create a review containing a summary of the classification, etiology, clinical presentation, evaluation, diagnosis, risk factors for progression, and multidisciplinary approach to pelvic obliquity in children with cerebral palsy; with the aim of encouraging their early intervention and follow-up. A proposal for intervention and monitoring of pelvic obliquity and an addendum for the prescription of the vertebral dynamic corset were also included.
