Análisis del potencial turístico del barrio Santísima Trinidad de Asunción, Paraguay, 2022

Abstract

El presente trabajo propone analizar el potencial turístico de cinco sitios patrimoniales del barrio Santísima Trinidad de la ciudad de Asunción, Paraguay. Se recurrió a un estudio cuantitativo, de corte transversal y descriptivo. La recolección de los datos se realizó entre marzo y julio del año 2022, mediante visitas, observación y registro de cinco sitios patrimoniales del barrio, en una lista de chequeo estructurada, con tres factores de análisis: aspectos resaltantes del recurso, accesibilidad turística y dotación de servicios básicos y turísticos. Cada uno estuvo dividido en cuatro dimensiones: valor turístico, disponibilidad del recurso, servicios básicos y servicios turísticos. Se evaluó la existencia o carencia de los criterios, a fin de analizar el potencial que poseen los cinco sitios patrimoniales analizados, para posteriormente sugerir propuestas enfocadas en el desarrollo turístico sostenible del barrio. Se concluye que los sitios patrimoniales analizados del barrio Santísima Trinidad, durante el año 2022, poseen un importante valor turístico por la historia, la cultura, el simbolismo, el buen estado de conservación y los servicios básicos. No obstante, carecen de profesionales del turismo, información turística, señalizaciones, instalaciones inclusivas, servicios de alimentación y estrategias de promoción de los sitios, con el fin de favorecer el desarrollo turístico sostenible del barrio y contribuir con la puesta en valor del patrimonio y al desarrollo local.The present work is aimed at analyzing the touristic potential of five heritage sites in the Santísima Trinidad neighborhood of the city of Asunción, Paraguay. A quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive study was used. Data collection was carried out between March and July 2022, through visits, observation, and registration of the five heritage sites in the neighborhood, in a structured checklist, with three analysis factors: highlights of the resource, tourist accessibility, provision of basic and tourist services, divided into four dimensions each: tourist value, resource availability, basic services and tourist services. We evaluated the existence or lack of such resources in order to analyze the potential that the five heritage sites analyzed have, to subsequently suggest proposals focused on the sustainable tourism development of the neighborhood. It is concluded that the heritage sites analyzed in the Santísima Trinidad neighborhood, during the year 2022, have an important tourist value due to history, culture, symbolism, good state of conservation and basic services; However, they lack tourism professionals, tourist information, signage, inclusive facilities, food services, and site promotion strategies, with the ultimate goal of promoting the sustainable tourist development of the neighborhood, contributing to the enhancement of heritage and to local development.
