Propuesta de TIC para optimizar el tiempo y equilibrar las cargas de trabajo dentro del equipo de desarrollo de software de la empresa 3M Global Service Center Costa Rica

Abstract

La incorporación estratégica de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC) en el entorno laboral tiene como propósito optimizar el tiempo y promover un equilibrio efectivo de las cargas de trabajo. La introducción de herramientas digitales y soluciones tecnológicas busca mejorar la eficiencia en la gestión del tiempo, facilitar la colaboración entre equipos y contribuir a un reparto equitativo de responsabilidades. El uso de plataformas de gestión de proyectos, automatización de tareas repetitivas, herramientas de comunicación en tiempo real y sistemas de seguimiento del rendimiento permiten una mayor productividad, una distribución más justa de las tareas y una toma de decisiones más informada por parte de los supervisores. La presente investigación llevará a cabo un análisis detallado de los procesos existentes en el equipo de desarrollo de software. El objetivo es entender cómo se gestionan actualmente el tiempo y el recurso humano, identificando los aspectos más relevantes de la gestión de proyectos, asignación de tareas y ejecución de actividades dentro del equipo. A su vez, se realizará un estudio exhaustivo de la herramienta de software Jira. Este análisis se basará en la información recopilada de procesos, normativas, políticas y procedimientos vigentes que el equipo de desarrollo de software de la empresa 3M GSC Costa Rica realiza con el propósito de seleccionar y extraer los aspectos más determinantes e indispensables que ofrece la herramienta de software Jira y que son fundamentales para el control y seguimiento de tareas. A partir de la comprensión de los procesos actuales y del análisis de Jira, se elaborará una propuesta de diseño de solución TIC. Esta propuesta estará orientada a proporcionar a los supervisores y cargos superiores una herramienta efectiva para la toma de decisiones, cuya finalidad será optimizar el tiempo y mejorar la distribución de las cargas de trabajo dentro del equipo de desarrollo de software. Al incorporar esta herramienta de gestión, se busca crear un entorno de trabajo más eficiente y equitativo, donde los recursos se utilicen de manera óptima y se promueva la colaboración efectiva dentro del equipo de desarrollo de software.The strategic incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the work environment aims to optimize time and promote an effective balance of workloads. The use of project management platforms, automation of repetitive tasks, real-time communication tools and performance monitoring systems allow for greater productivity, fairer distribution of tasks and more informed decision making by supervisors. This research will carry out a detailed analysis of the existing processes in the software development team. The objective is to understand how time and human resources are currently managed, identifying the most relevant aspects of project management, task assignment and execution of activities within the team. In turn, an exhaustive study of the Jira software tool will be carried out. This analysis will be based on the information collected from the current processes, regulations, policies and procedures that the development team carries out with the purpose of selecting and extracting the most decisive and indispensable aspects that the Jira software tool offers and that are fundamental for the control and monitoring of tasks. Based on the understanding of current processes and Jira analysis, an ICT solution design proposal will be prepared. This proposal will be aimed at providing supervisors and senior positions with an effective tool for decision-making whose purpose will be to optimize time and improve the distribution of workloads within the software development team. By incorporating this management tool, we seek to create a more efficient and equitable work environment, where resources are used optimally and effective collaboration is promoted within the software development team.
