Abstract

This presentation, delivered by Dr. Rocío Sáenz during the Global Public Health Week 2025, addresses the current challenges of health diplomacy within a changing global order. It examines protectionist trade policies, the impacts of budget cuts in health, and the fragility of international cooperation in Latin America. The author proposes an inclusive and resilient vision of health as a global public good, highlighting the importance of local knowledge, community participation, and interprofessional training to strengthen health systems.
