Perspectivas del valor económico en la autenticidad de la Cerámica Chorotega: un enfoque teórico-metodológico para el mercado de bienes culturales

Abstract

La Cerámica Chorotega, protegida como patrimonio cultural inmaterial y bajo una denominación de origen (DO), se enfrenta al desafío de su comercialización en el mercado. Este artículo aborda el análisis de las autenticidades presentes en este contexto, buscando establecer una metodología de gestión de la autenticidad orientada hacia la acción del Consejo Regulador. Se examina cómo la DO, centrada en una autenticidad esencialista, puede limitar la comprensión de otras autenticidades presentes en la práctica cultural de la cerámica, sin considerar plenamente la dinámica y la evolución de la producción artesanal. A lo largo del texto, se plantea una perspectiva que evalúa variables clave para definir estrategias de acción que permitan conciliar la promoción mercantil con el respeto a las diversas facetas de autenticidad presentes en la producción cerámica. Esta propuesta metodológica busca balancear las necesidades del mercado con el mantenimiento de la riqueza cultural inherente a la tradición ceramista.The Chorotega pottery, protected as intangible cultural heritage and under a designation of origin (DO), faces the challenge of its commercialization in the market. This article addresses the analysis of authenticity within this context, aiming to establish a methodology for managing authenticity directed towards the actions of the Regulatory Council. It examines how the DO, focused onan essentialist authenticity, might limit the understanding of other authenticities present in the cultural practice of pottery, without fully considering the dynamics and evolution of craft production. Throughout the text, a perspective is proposed that evaluates key variables to define action strategies that allow the reconciliation of commercial promotion with respect for the diverse facets of authenticity present in ceramic production. This methodological proposal seeks to balance market needs with thepreservation of the cultural richness inherent in the ceramic tradition.
