Abstract

This article aims to describe actions that contemplate the use of technological resources in mathematics classes in Brazilian basic education. It is presented a case study on a class of the 5th year elementary school from the public school Otávio Manoel Anastácio. The work is part of the project entitled "Proposal for integrating technology in teaching STEM subjects in basic education from public schools", and proposes the integration of technological resources in education through training and teacher guidance and student reality in the STEM disciplines (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics), through the use of mobile learning in traditional concepts learning. In 2011, this project was selected as one of four most innovative projects in Brazilian education. The selection was carried out by Institute of Development and Educational Innovation (IDIE) at Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) and sponsored by Telefónica Foundation.
