| dc.description | Este artículo expone el pensamiento del ex rector de la Universidad de Costa Rica, profesor Carlos Monge Alfaro en relación con su enfoque filosófico-antropológico de la cultura. En él se destaca la labor educativa de la Universidad de Costa Rica en la promoción de la investigación y del desarrollo científico y cultural de nuestro país.Desde una perspectiva humanística, resalta el valor del conocimiento científico y su contribución con el desarrollo de la cultura nacional, haciendo hincapié en la necesidad de que los centros de educación superior se transformen en laboratorios de humanidades, los cuales procuren estimular la imaginación y el ingenio creativo de los jóvenes educandos en el campo de las letras, las artes y las ciencias, para que de este modo el profesional que se pretende formar sea capaz de fundamentar el cómo y el porqué de su acción profesional. | es |
| dc.description | This article exposes the thought of the former Rector of the University of Costa Rica, Professor Carlos Monge Alfaro in relation to its philosophical-anthropological approach to culture. It highlights the educational efforts of the University of Costa Rica in promoting research and scientific and cultural development of our country.From a humanistic perspective, it shows the value of scientific knowledge and its contribution to the development of the national culture, emphasizing the need for higher education institutions to become humanities laboratories that seek to stimulate creative imagination and ingenuity of young learners in the field of letters, arts and sciences, so in this way the professionals being trained will be able to substantiate the nature of their professional activities. | en-US |
