dc.description.abstractPurpose: To use Monte Carlo calculations to determine the dosimetric characteristics of CivaString, a new polymer-encapsulated, elongated, 103Pd brachytherapy source made by Civatech Oncology for prostate implants. This includes the determination of TG-43U1 parameters as well as investigating the azimuthal anisotropy due to the non-cylindrically symmetric distribution of 103Pd within the source.es_ES
