Cuestiones epistemológicas en la Teología Latinoamericana de la Liberación

Abstract

Este ensayo estudia las cuestiones epistemológicas en torno a la Teología Latinoamericana de la Liberación (TLL). Esto nos llevará a indagar: el punto de partida de esta teología (los pobres, oprimidos y la praxis que los libera); el método que usa para conocer, muy ligado a la Hermenéutica de la Liberación; la relación que tiene con el marxismo, debida más que todo al reconocimiento de las estructuras empobrecedoras; la relación que tiene con las ciencias sociales, que no es de dependencia, sino de prestación de herramientas de conocimiento; y por último, los supuestos ontológicos para identificar de qué manera es observado el pobre y la realidad que lo circunscribe, y los supuestos axiológicos para determinar los valores y comportamientos ante el estudio que debe poseer el teólogo de la liberación.

This paper explores the epistemological questions about the Latin American Liberation Theology (LLT). This will lead us to investigate the starting point of this theology (the poor, the oppressed and the liberating practice); the method used by the LLT, closely linked to the latter Hermeneutics of Liberation; the relationship between the Marxism and the LLT, which is mostly linked to the recognition of impoverishing structures; the relationship it has with Social Sciences which is not of dependency, but of providing study tools; and finally, the ontological assumptions to identify how the poor and the reality that circumscribes them are observed and the axiological assumptions to determine the values and behaviors that the liberation theologian should possess towards the study.
