Abstract

Neutralization of hyaluronidase and indirect hemolytic activities of Costa Rican snake venoms by polyvalent antivenom. Toxicon23, 1015–1018, 1985. — The ability of a polyvalent antivenom produced in Costa Rica to neutralize hyaluronidase and indirect hemolytic activities of Costa Rican crotalid venoms was tested. Antivenom neutralized remarkably well hyaluronidase activity of all venoms tested, with ed50 doses ranging from 2 to 45 μl antivenom/mg venom.
