dc.descriptionFrom a theoretical approach which includes dialectal, lexicographical, cognitive, and sociopragmatic aspects, the following article analyzes items, simple or multiword units, from the lexical subcomponent of Costa Rican Spanish, specifically, the names of animals that, while representing part of the lexical stock of Spanish in general, are rooted to the Costa Rican variety, having experienced a process of metaphorical creation, with differential and contrastive implications from other communities that hold Spanish as an element of cohesion and cultural identity.en-US
dc.descriptionEn la presente comunicación, desde un enfoque teórico que incluye aspectos dialectales, lexicográficos, cognitivos y sociopragmáticos, se analizan rubros del subcomponente léxico del español de Costa Rica, lexías univerbales o pluriverbales, uno de cuyos elementos léxicos lo constituye alguno de esos nombres de animales, que, si bien constituyen parte del acervo léxico del español general, se arraigan en la variedad costarricense, habiendo pasado por un proceso de creación metafórica, con implicaciones diferenciales y contrastivas respecto de otras comunidades de habla que tienen la lengua española como elemento de cohesión e identidad cultural.es-ES
