El presente artículo es producto de la ponencia realizada en Costa Rica, en septiembre de 2014, con motivo del Seminario anual de la Cátedra Latinoamericana de Criminología y Derechos Humanos Alessandro Baratta. Este trabajo se centra en los principios ilustrados o clásicos del Derecho Penal y la Criminología que encuentran desarrollo en el pensamiento de Cesare Beccaria. Asimismo, se expone acerca de la vinculación entre Beccaria y el pensamiento de Alesandro Baratta, que constituyen dos iluministas de siglos distintos.
This article is the result of the presentation made in Costa Rica, in September 2014, on the occasion of the Annual Seminar of the Latin American Chair of Criminology and Human Rights Alessandro Baratta. This work focuses on the enlightenment principles of Criminal Law and Criminology, developed in Cesare Beccaria. It also exposes about the link between the thought of Beccaria and Alessandro Baratta, which are two men of Enlightment but from different centuries
