Abstract
Se presenta un método numérico iterativo para encontrar las raíces reales de la ecuación de tercer grado reducida x^3 + Bx + C = 0. El método no requiere partir con un cálculo aproximado de la raíz. Las fórmulas de recurrencia se obtienen directa y elementalmente de la ecuación a resolver, por lo que el método es implementable para su enseñanza en la educación media. Hay estabilidad y control del error.
We give a numerical iterative method to find the real roots of the reduced third grade equation x^3 + Bx + C = 0. There is no need of an estimation of the root to start the iterations. The recurrence formulas are obtained directly and in an elementary way, from the equation to be solved; this give the possibility to implement the method for teaching at the college level. There are stability and error control.
