Abstract
The Canadian Robert Lepage’s creations are pertinent to analyse contemporary productions. The intermediality approach aims to question the operations of mediation and the interchange that takes place when different substances meet and give the possibility to the phenomena of signification. By questioning the identity, intermediality approach studies texts and its representation, matter, and relations established. Lepage’s work includes drama and audio-visual creations, the direction of musicals and circus performances, and feature films. Therefore, his work is not only adequate for the intermediality analysis but also he ponders a debate regarding the intermedial characteristic of the contemporary societies.
