Abstract
Ninenteen orchid species belonging to the subtribe Pleurothallidinae (Orchidaceae: Epidendroideae), native to Costa Rica, are described and illustrated in 24 Lankester Composite Dissection Plates. Nine of the plates are based on the specimens that served as types.
