dc.description	El siguiente trabajo es fruto de la presentación realizada en la Tercera Conferencia Interamericana de Educación Matemática, que por primera vez considera el tema de la Educación Matemática a nivel infantil. El trabajo se divide en tres etapas. La primera parte, describe algunas de las experiencias y conocimientos que he adquirido en el aula. La segunda parte, se ocupará de las dos grandes reformas matemáticas ocurridas en los Estados Unidos. Por último, la tercera parte ofrecerá algunos puntos de partida posibles para desarrollar el concepto de “escuela primaria” adaptándolo a recursos y necesidades locales. En todo el artículo, la calidad de la educación matemática será tratada en un contexto amplio.	es-ES
dc.description	This is a product of the presentation realized in the Third Inter-American Conference on Mathematics Education, which for the first time considers the topic of the Mathematics Education in the primary school level. The work is divided in three stages. In the first part there are described some of the experiences and knowledge that I have acquired in the classroom. The second part will deal with both big mathematical reforms happened in USA. Finally, the third part will offer some possible starting points to develop the concept of “primary school”, adapting it to resources and local needs. In the whole article, the quality of the Mathematics Education will be treated in a wide context.	en-US
