dc.descriptionEl tema de la inseguridad en las ciudades latinoamericanas ha cobrado fuerza en los últimosaños, debido a los distintos acontecimientos políticos y sociales que vive la región. Elpresente artículo posee como objetivo reflexionar sobre la vivencia de las geografías delmiedo por parte de mujeres trabajadoras del sexo de la ciudad de San José. A partir de unametodología cualitativa: observaciones, entrevistas, grupos focales y fotografías participativasde mujeres trabajadoras sexuales, se trazan líneas generales que permiten comprenderla sociabilidad urbana que se entreteje en la ciudad de San José para estas mujeres. Losespacios identificados y habitados se caracterizan por la exclusión y la marginalización,donde la inseguridad y la violencia vienen a deteriorar en gran medida la convivencia urbanapercibida y practicada por las mujeres.es-ES
dc.descriptionThe topic of the insecurity in the Latin-American cities has gathered strength in the lastyears due to the different political and social events that the region lives. The presentarticle has as objective consider the experience of the fear geographys by the female sexworkers of the city of San Jose. From a qualitative methodology: observations, interviews,focal groups and participative photography by female sex workers, it could outline somegeneral lines that allow us to comprehend the urban sociability that is interwoven in thecity of San Jose for these women. The identified and inhabited spaces are characterizedby the exclusion and the marginalization, where the insecurity and the violence come todetriment the urban conviviality perceived and practiced by the women.en-US
