La noción de patrimonio ha evolucionado fuertemente en los últimos años. Hoy, las definiciones son diversas, dependiendo de los ámbitos considerados, pero parece que ha surgido un punto de acuerdo en el reconocimiento del patrimonio como construcción social. Sin embargo, esta evolución en la definición ha generado contradicciones que parecen requerir de una reflexión epistemológica. El objetivo de este artículo es aclarar por qué se hace necesario este tipo de interrogaciones y proponer una posible vía para el estudio académico de este tema particular.
The notion of heritage has evolved a lot in recent years. Today, the definitions are different, depending on the areas concerned, but it seems there is a point of agreement on the recognition of heritage as a social construction. However, these changes in definition has generated contradictions that seem to require an epistemological thought. It is the aim of this article because it is necessary to clarify these questions and propose a possible way for the academic study of this particular topic.
